TV Magic to Present Third Annual Tech Lab at NRB 2007 Convention & Exposition
Tech Lab Offers Unique Venue for Exploration of Broadcast Technologies for Worship Community
SAN DIEGO — Jan. 11, 2007 – TV Magic announced today it will once again play a key role in organizing the Tech Lab at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention & Exposition, the largest nationally and internationally recognized event dedicated solely to assisting those in the field of Christian communications. Launched two years ago by the NRB and TV Magic, the Tech Lab serves as a unique venue in which attendees can explore new broadcast technologies, participate in educational sessions, or learn from the experts through lectures and roundtable discussion. The Tech Lab will be open throughout the show, which will run from Feb. 17-20, 2007, in Orlando, Fla.
“The Tech Lab has been a great success in previous years, and we expect the interest in this innovative offering will be a popular draw at the 2007 show,” said Dr. Frank Wright, president and CEO of the NRB. “It is important that the NRB Convention & Exposition offer ministries the tools they need to communicate effectively through broadcast media, and TV Magic has been instrumental in providing conference attendees access and information about leading-edge broadcast products and technologies.”
The annual NRB Convention & Exposition, which showcases solutions from more than 300 companies, is an active marketplace for those seeking tools and services to expand their ministries. This international event networks thousands of Christian communicators, from program producers to authors, pastors to engineers, directors to vendors. NRB professionals emphasize strategy and innovation to tap the power of new media ministry models.
The Tech Lab at NRB 2007 will emphasize new production technologies including HD systems and tapeless recording products, as well as distribution techniques such as podcasting and media delivery over the Web. Leading vendors will be a part of the Tech Lab. In 2006 the list of vendors participating included Apple, Adobe, Avid, Miranda, 360 Systems, Grass Valley, JVC, Panasonic, Sony, and many others.
“The NRB Tech Lab has grown out of our close relationships with leading broadcast ministries and our desire to help other groups understand how they can leverage new broadcast technologies to improve or expand ministry communications and interaction with their congregations,” said TV Magic President Stephen Rosen.
