AMSTERDAM – Jan. 30, 2007 – AMX®, a worldwide leader in advanced control system technology, today announced that it has partnered with Planon to streamline resource and building management. The company has developed a scheduling plug-in that will enable Planon‘s Workplace Management Software to interface with any of its Resource Management Suite (RMS) of products, such as MeetingManager®, ClassroomManager™ and IntelligentManager™. The RMS/Integrated Workplace Management Software Interface will be demonstrated in AMX booth C30 at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), being held Jan. 30 – Feb. 1 in Amsterdam.

The partnership between AMX and Planon will enable users to do something that is truly unique – schedule a meeting using Planon‘s software and then have the meeting displayed on an AMX Modero® Touch Panel installed outside the room. Using the communications link created by the interface, Planon‘s software tells the RMS application about the newly scheduled meeting, which the RMS application then automatically sends to the touch panel for display. This functionality is not possible with any other building management software on the market today.
