Triveni Digital to Showcase SkyScraper™ ESN and DS Solutions During APTS Event

Triveni Digital to Showcase SkyScraper™ Emergency Services Network (ESN) and Ensignia Digital Signage Solutions During APTS Capitol Hill Day

PRINCETON, N.J. — Feb. 9, 2007 — Triveni Digital, a subsidiary of LG Electronics, today announced it will showcase the SkyScraper™ Emergency Services Network (ESN) and Digital Signage solutions during the Association of Public Television Station (APTS) Capitol Hill Day Event, from Feb. 12 -14, 2007 in Washington, D.C.

In concert with LG Electronics as a platinum-level sponsor of the event, hosted at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Triveni Digital will be demonstrating how its end-to-end SkyScraper ESN system allows broadcasters to leverage their digital television bandwidth to provide a secure wireless wideband data transmission of training, operational, and emergency-alert information to targeted sites. The company will also demonstrate its SkyScraper Ensignia Digital Signage solution, a turnkey suite of products designed to optimize bandwidth use and allow for scheduled content distribution based on service-level agreements (SLAs).

“In this day and age, the ability to disseminate information quickly and securely to specific sites can bring greater efficiency to everyday broadcast operations and provide critical communications capabilities in times of crisis,” said Ralph Bachofen, director of product management and marketing, Triveni Digital. “Once a broadcaster has the SkyScraper ESN system deployed and configured, designated sites within the reach of that station‘s signal can gain consistent access to up-to-date emergency information.”

The SkyScraper system from Triveni Digital provides a platform for highly efficient point-to-multipoint content distribution and also allows for targeted point-to-point delivery. Through this solution, public TV stations can use available DTV bandwidth to generate new revenues and aggressively support the public charter by providing efficient delivery of multimedia content for education, homeland security, and other public services.

The SkyScraper ESN solution allows stations to prepare content and schedule it for insertion into the DTV broadcast stream for delivery to one or many local sites – such as schools, universities, police stations, fire stations, hospitals, etc. – where the content is received and made available to intended viewers. The system, which delivers any type of digital content, can be customized to meet the specific needs of different broadcast stations and communities.

Triveni Digital‘s SkyScraper Ensignia system allows advertising content to be updated quickly and efficiently. Advertising content displayed can range from simple text and still images to full-motion video, with or without audio. LG Electronics display screens with integrated controllers simplify installation and maintenance while reducing footprint requirements.
