Vicon Introduces I-ONYX Series IP Cameras
Vicon Industries Inc., a leading designer and producer of video surveillance systems, today announced the introduction of the I-ONYX Series of IP cameras. Powered by ViconNet software, the I-ONYX Series will initially consist of three models: the I-ONYX VN-855, a super-high-resolution model; the I-ONYX VN-855DN, a day/night version and the I-ONYX VN-855, a Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) model. All three can deliver up to 30 fps of high-quality, 4 CIF [720 x 488 (864 x 586 PAL)] video across the network and may be powered by PoE or 24 VAC. The Power over Ethernet (PoE) feature eliminates the need for a separate power supply. more

Medialon Supplies Show Control To Innovative New Beijing Attraction
Medialon Show Manager is providing automatic show control for a project in the central business district of Beijing, which consists of a nearly 65,000-square foot video canopy with 14.5 million LEDs. Raised 82 feet above floor level, the canopy covers an open circulation area forming part of a new building development, “The Place.” The canopy is used at night and has a light background to allow it to act as a surface for special lighting effects when it is not showing images. In addition, a large vertical LED screen is used conventionally during the day and shares the same source and processing system. more
