Zandar MultiViewer Enhancements Showcased at Infocomm 2007
Zandar Technologies, a leading innovator in the design and development of high quality multi-source video display and management solutions, is displaying a range of key product enhancements on Booth 5737 at InfoComm between 19 to 21 June 2007 in Anaheim, California, USA. These enhancements are designed to increase both the flexibility and the usability of Zandar‘s products in a wide range of professional AV applications.
“InfoComm will be the first opportunity that the international pro-AV community has had to view our enhanced Predator Series of MultiViewers, which now offers Dual HD output functionality, whereby a single MultiViewer can drive one or two displays at native HD resolution. We shall also be showing our flagship FusionPro+ series MultiViewers designed for mission critical environments where flexible configuration of multiple input sources is required for centralised monitoring,” comments Deirdre Smith, CEO at Zandar Technologies.
The Dual HD at 50Hz and 60Hz enhancement applies to the Predator HD4, HD8, HD12 and HD16 MultiViewers. Each unit combines a mixture of SD and HD signals, including 720p and 1080i, offering unprecedented image quality, operational flexibility and space-saving benefits. With a superb high-resolution output on DVI, another major benefit is the cost-effectiveness of the Zandar solution over the use of HD monitors.
Also on show in Anaheim is an enhanced version of Zandar‘s Z-Configurator user interface, along with the company‘s new Z-Controller software. Z-Controller gives a videowall operator immediate control of the wall for scenario changes, whether scheduled or on alarm activation, and provides visual indication of fault conditions and an alarm logging tool.
“At Zandar, we pride ourselves on offering software which allows multi-source display system setup and configuration with intuitive ease,” continues Smith. “Our Z-Configurator and Z-Controller programs allow multiple MultiViewers to be combined into a wall and programmed for different scenarios – ideal for different program or operator set-ups.”
Zandar‘s extensive InfoComm presence comes at a time when the company‘s products are gaining increasing acceptance in a range of mission-critical, time-sensitive, and space-restricted applications.
A Predator HD12 MultiViewer has been supplied to Worldwide Satellite Communications for installation in a mobile SD and HD Flypack system that is being used for video monitoring and recording of surgical procedures in hospital locations across the United States. And a FusionPro+ 3RU MultiViewer has been installed onboard an oil and gas exploration vessel for Houston, Texas-based Deep Marine Technology; the unit is being used to display video imaging from the vessel‘s ROV cameras, along with status displays for sonar, pilot operations, and CCTV.
