New Remote Antenna Kit Extends the Range and Reception of PRO850; Rack Mount Kits Ease Installation for the DX200 & PRO850 Wireless Intercoms

SAN DIEGO — May 16, 2007 — HME is pleased to introduce accessories for their family of wireless intercom systems – the RAK850 Remote Antenna Kit and the RMK850 and RMK200 Rack Mount Kits. The RAK850 system is a practical, low-cost solution for PRO850 installations experiencing RF reflections and dropouts. With the RAK850, the antennas for the PRO850 Wireless Intercom System are easily relocated up to 30 feet away from the base station to help overcome environmental conditions that interfere with reception. Relocating the PRO850 system antennas with the RAK850 can help alter the transmission and reception patterns and thus improve system performance.

The new Rack Mount Kits for the HME PRO850 Wireless Intercom System and the DX200 Digital Wireless System fit into a rack-mounted configuration enabling the antennas (which normally would be mounted to the back of the intercom‘s base station) to be fitted on the front of the rack panel. Front-mounting the antennas clears the reception path by overcoming the metal rack unit walls that interfere with radio waves. The RMK850 and RMK200 are 1-RU panels that perfectly match the size of the base station, minimizing the required rack space and combining the components in the rack for a professional appearance and more orderly management of cabling.
