Fiberplex Announces LightViper YAMMON Remote Control Software
FiberPlex, Inc., the leading professional audio fiber optic supplier to the sound production and systems contracting industry, has announced the release of their new LightViper™ YamMon™ software program which is designed to allow users of non-Yamaha audio production consoles to be able to remotely control Yamaha‘s AD8HR digital microphone preamplifiers from a laptop computer. When used in conjunction with the LightViper 4832 system, the YamMon software provides a complete and ultimately flexible remote control solution for Yamaha AD8HR preamps.
The new YamMon software will be available at the LightViper web site (www.lightviper.com) and may be purchased and downloaded for $59.95. A free, time-limited demo copy of the program (single channel only) will also be available.
The software allows users to control up to 255 AD8HR mic preamp channels from a PC computer (a MAC OS version will be announced soon). The remote control works via Yamaha RS422 control protocol and Software Controls include the following:
– Individual phantom power on/off;
– HP filter in/out and roll off frequency;
– Individual channel level control in 1dB steps; trim in 0.1 db steps;
– Word Clock Settings: internal, external, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz and 96kHz;
– Real-time metering of 8 channels at a time;
– “Copy all” functions allow one preamp configuration to be copied to other preamps;
– Preamp and individual channel labels;
– Save and recall all configurations
