Crown Powers A Homer At New Busch Stadium

ST. LOUIS, Missouri – May 2007 — In October 2006, St. Louis’ new Busch Stadium, home of the Cardinals, went on record as one of very few ballparks whose baseball team won the World Series in the facility’s inaugural season.

Construction for the new $365 million, 44,000-seat Busch Stadium, the third such home for the franchise, began back in January 2004. Dallas-based design and consulting firm Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams (WJHW) was charged with the audio system design portion of the project; however, this was not the company’s first experience working for the Cardinals. In the late-’80s, WJHW had been called to the second Busch Stadium to make some upgrades to the ballpark’s existing sound system, which, at that time, included the installation of various Crown power amplifiers. more

Soundcraft Announces Interface With Aviom

Aviom card for Soundcraft Vi SeriesNORTHRIDGE, California – May 2007 — Soundcraft has announced the availability of new interface cards for the Soundcraft Vi Series of digital mixing consoles enabling direct integration with Aviom‘s personal monitoring system, the Pro16(tm) Series.

The cards provide direct digital connection on a single Cat5e cable from the Soundcraft Vi6(tm) and newly announced Soundcraft Vi4(tm) aux or group outputs into an Aviom(r) Pro16 Series personal mixer. The Pro16 System enables musicians on stage to be fed with up to 16 subgroups of instruments or vocals, which they can then mix to their own tastes using their own onstage controllers. more
