Harman Pro Group Names NetWork Sales & Marketing South As Manufacturer’s Rep

New manufacturer‘s rep team to provide customers and dealers with unprecedented training and support.

NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA, June 1, 2007 — In a move to better serve its dealers and customers in Nebraska, Iowa, southern Illinois, Missouri and Kansas, the Harman Pro Group today announced the appointment of NetWork Sales & Marketing South (NetWork South) to serve as its manufacturers rep firm for that region. NetWork South is a new division of NetWork Sales & Marketing, the Harman Pro Group manufacturer‘s rep firm for Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and western Wisconsin. The announcement, which takes immediate effect, includes sales responsibility for Crown International, JBL Professional, AKG, BSS Audio, dbx, Soundcraft and Lexicon.

Commenting on the announcement, Blake Augsburger, President, Harman Pro Group, noted, “We view NetWork‘s expansion in the Midwest as a driving element towards growing our business and strengthening the partnership between our two companies. This agreement will also be good news to our dealers and customers in the Midwest as it promises to elevate our service to new heights of excellence.”

Echoing this sentiment, Michael MacDonald, EVP Marketing, Harman Pro Group, explained the decision to switch representation to NetWork South was based upon NetWork Sales & Marketing‘s proven ability to go beyond the purchase order and provide customers with unprecedented training and support services. “Bob Schmid and his team understand the importance of listening closely to dealers and customers and then responding with technology and added value programs like training, education and comprehensive support. We‘ve watched with excitement as NetWork has evolved and we‘ve heard directly from dealers and customers the significant value that NetWork provides. Now, with the formation of NetWork South, we look forward to providing our dealers and customers in Nebraska, Iowa, southern Illinois, Missouri and Kansas with expanded training, service and support.”

Formed in 1996, NetWork Sales & Marketing is founded on the premise of real-time service and comprehensive support from well-trained, service-oriented staff. NetWork has sent staff to EASE certification, C.P.M.R. certification, EDI trainings and is also a leader among rep firms at providing customers and dealers with advanced training and education –the firm has twice hosted and sponsored customer education sessions by Pat Brown of Syn-Aud-Con and last year hosted a highly successful Harman Road Show.

NetWork Sales & Marketing is led by Bob Schmid, President and Tony LoPresti, Vice President. The rest of the team is Scott Lysne, Brett Remme, Patty Blanchette and Angie Watson.

Commenting on the announcement, Schmid said, “Harman has come out with killer products every year over the last five years and that is great but the multiplying factor for NetWork is focused communications with our customers on a consistent basis. That is the key!”

“At NetWork Sales & Marketing, we are a company made up of employees that are great contributors and we let them do their jobs, in turn they really haul the mail for our brands. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with the dealers and customers of Nebraska, Iowa, southern Illinois, Missouri and Kansas and we look forward to earning their business and supporting the brands of the Harman Pro Group,” Schmid continued.

The team at NetWork South comprises an industry-leading inside sales group, Patty Blanchette and Angie Watson, supporting proven AV professionals Michael Sipe and Paul Zahn plus one other sales professional yet to be announced. NetWork South will begin calling on accounts as early as Friday, June 1 and will soon announce road shows for Kansas City and St. Louis for late summer.
