BTX Introduces New MaxBlox EZ Termination System
Innovative Connectors Offer Time and Cost Savings to Installers While Providing the Reliability of Phoenix Terminal Blocks
HAWTHORNE, N.Y. — June 5, 2007 — BTX Technologies, Inc. introduces its next generation of solderless connectors — the new patent-pending MaxBlox EZ Termination System. Building on the technology of BTX‘s previous solutions, this rugged new design eliminates the problems of soldering in the field, reducing labor hours, and saving both time and money for installers.
The MaxBlox EZ Termination System of solderless connectors allows installers to terminate an HD15 or a DB9 with a screwdriver and mount it on a cable or into a wallplate in a fraction of the time it would take to solder.
“This newly designed patent-pending series is quite different than any other we have manufactured in the past. Installers and integrators have been longing for a new solution and now it is here,” said Mark Chernoff, director of marketing for BTX. “In the field, soldering an HD15 connector can cause several problems for installers. Not only is it extremely time consuming, but many applications require soldering on a ladder, such as when installing a projector, which makes it almost impossible. Even worse, if the soldering isn‘t done correctly on the first attempt, the installer will have to de-solder and then re-solder again. By requiring nothing more than a strip tool and a screwdriver, the next-generation connectors in the MaxBlox EZ Termination System greatly simplify the process.”
Optimized for use in any A/V application where VGA or RS-232 controls are used, the HD15 and DB9 connectors are manufactured by BTX with genuine Phoenix Contact terminal blocks, the industry standard for reliability. The system accommodates wire diameters from .120 in. to .500 in.
Included in the system are BTX‘s next-generation CD-MX15M and CD-MX15F HD15 male and female connectors, and CD-MX9M and CD-MX9F DB9 male and female connectors. All can be panel mounted as stand-alone connectors, or cable mounted when used with the included CD-MX915H clamshell hood.
BTX will be showing the MaxBlox EZ Termination System at InfoComm, booth 6430. The system will be available to installers in summer 2007.
