Display Industry Vet Michael C. Pearce to head up projectiondesign North America Technical Support Services
Ridgefield, N.J., 9 June 2007 – projectiondesign LLC has added Michael C. Pearce to its North American staff (announced today) as Director of Technical Services, Applications and Design Engineering Support for the award-winning projector company.
In making this appointment, Gary Plavin, President of projectiondesign LLC, said: “Michael‘s experience and display products knowledge are second to none. It‘s a real coup for us to have someone of Michael‘s caliber and reputation on board, supporting our customers, sales staff and dealer network.”
Most recently with Faroudja Laboratories (a division of Genesis Microchip Corp.), he brings greater than 21 years experience within the Display and Systems Electronics Industry. Previous to Faroudja Laboratories, he worked as an Applications Engineering Manager, for JVC Professional, and Hughes-JVC Technology specializing in Commercial and Residential design and integration. He was also a key team member and Calibration/Telecine Manager for Hughes-JVC‘s Digital Cinema project, during the simultaneous premier release of “Star Wars – Episode I” (Lucasfilm, Ltd.) and “An Ideal Husband” (Miramax Films).
Michael currently sits on the Imaging Science Foundation – Commercial, Board of Advisors (ISF-C). His experience began with the US Naval Electrical Engineering School and Sonar Systems Maintenance School, San Diego, CA. He is ISF and InfoComm trained and certified (ISF, ISF-C and CTS), and additionally conducts training and seminar presentations for the display industry.
