AMX Hires David Goldenberg to Lead Domestic East Coast Sales and Operations
RICHARDSON, Texas – June 11, 2007 – AMX® announced today that David Goldenberg has joined the company as general manager of its East Coast office. In this role, Goldenberg will be responsible for the company‘s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic operations, which includes sales and training. With more than 15 years of experience, Goldenberg is a recognized leader in the audio/video (A/V) industry. He replaces Debbie Franklin, who was recently promoted to AMX vice president of global account management.
Goldenberg was previously president of ACE Communications, a Garden City, N.Y.-based company named a “Top 50 Systems Integrator” by Systems Contractor News in 2006. In his role at ACE, Goldenberg oversaw the company‘s daily operations, which included profit and loss management, strategic business and marketing planning, sales forecasting, vertical market expansion, public relations and vendor alliances.
“David has a proven track record of satisfying the needs of his customers while boosting sales and profitability. He is also an aggressive marketer focused on value creation,” said Rashid Skaf, AMX president and CEO. “David is a dynamic leader who has proven that he can successfully manage and motivate a diverse team of individuals. I am confident that he will fit well into the AMX culture and accomplish great things with our company.”
Prior to joining ACE, Goldenberg held senior sales positions at AT&T and IBM, where he helped create the company‘s first global virtual private network (VPN). In 2002, he was named to the elite 40/40 List by Long Island Business News, an award honoring 40 Long Island up-and-coming business and civic leaders under the age of 40. He has also been honored by the Girl Scouts of Nassau County for his charitable work in support of the organization.
Goldenberg is a member of the International Communications Industries of America (ICIA) and the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA).
