BTX Now Shipping Stand-Alone HDMI Panel-Mount Adapter

HAWTHORNE, N.Y. — June 12, 2007 — BTX Technologies, Inc. today announced that it is now shipping its innovative CD-HDMIFFP female-to-female HDMI (high-definition multiple interface) panel-mount adapter, which provides a flexible interface between any compatible digital audio/video source, such as a set-top box, a PC, or an AV receiver, and a compatible digital audio and/or video monitor.

BTX’s patent-pending HDMI adapter provides a convenient alternative to other devices that are integrated as a permanent part of a wall plate typically used for HDMI cable connections. The stand-alone CD-HDMIFFP is designed to mount in a standard DB9/HD15 punch, providing the flexibility of mounting an HDMI adapter in any off-the-shelf or custom plate or panel without the need for special tooling.

“We are very excited to be shipping our CD-HDMIFFP,” said Mark Chernoff, director of marketing for BTX. “Our customers have come to rely on our innovative solutions, and the CD-HDMIFFP continues that tradition. As a stand-alone device, this unique HDMI panel-mount adapter offers our customers an increased level of flexibility and provides an alternative to integrated adapters.”

Extending only 1 inch behind the plate, the low-profile CD-HDMIFFP easily mounts with the supplied threaded 4/40 hexnuts. The HDMI adapter is 1.3a-compliant and can also be used as an inline HDMI coupler.

The CD-HDMIFFP is available at an MSRP of $10.95 per adapter.
