TV Magic Aligns Management Team to Support Continued Business Growth

SAN DIEGO — July 25, 2007 – TV Magic, one of the leading broadcast systems integrators, today announced a series of internal promotions designed to take greater advantage of the company’s creative and intellectual resources, as well as to recognize the company’s significant recent growth. The new management roles will be dedicated to the support of expanding TV Magic’s business opportunities and capitalizing on them more efficiently.

Gus Allmann is shifting from his role as vice president of engineering to a new position as chief technology officer (CTO) at TV Magic, while Pat Thompson, formerly vice president of operations, has been named senior vice president of sales. Frank Geraty, who was previously general manager of TV Magic’s Los Angeles office has been appointed the company’s new vice president of operations and elected to the TV Magic board of directors. Mark Girard, who was the company’s vice president of technology, has been named vice president of engineering in charge of both the company’s Engineering Services Department and Support Services Group (SSG), bringing the resources of both groups together to achieve greater responsiveness and flexibility in meeting customer needs.

“We have always excelled in our ability to focus on our core business of systems integration,” said Stephen D. Rosen, president of TV Magic. “With the shift of key team members, we feel we’re prepared to apply our proven approach to larger projects and to leverage all of the company’s resources more effectively in growing the business.”

Allmann will step away from the day-to-day responsibilities of engineering so that he can play a larger role in strategic planning for the company as a whole. He will work closely with Rosen in guiding TV Magic’s growth, providing input from a technical standpoint. Thompson’s long experience and excellent record in sales made his promotion a natural fit, and the company will look to him for leadership in developing sales and creating a business plan that builds on and supports TV Magic’s systems integration work. He will serve as a mentor to other sales staff, sharing his expertise in crafting good relationships with customers and manufacturers.

As vice president of operations, Geraty will be able to make use of his experience as chief engineer at KTLA and WPIX. His strong organizational background and technical knowledge give him an understanding of the technical and business aspects of TV Magic. His presence in operations will contribute to an increase in efficiency that, in turn, will fuel further company growth.

Girard has been responsible for developing and implementing the technology direction for facilities such as Pacific Title, Ascent Media, Cinesite LA, and Foto-Kem. With Engineering Services and the SSG now under his purview, the company will have much better access to resources in providing fulfillment of quality services to both areas without stressing the ongoing operations of either division. This change is representative of TV Magic’s overall goal of spreading resources across the company together more productively.

“This is an exciting time for the company,” added Rosen. “We’re going through a significant growth period during which it’s critical to have the right people in the right places. I believe that our new company structure will give us a fresh perspective on that growth, along with the freedom and ability to make the most of it.”
