Kramer Introduces New TP-45/TP-46 Multi-format Twisted Pair Combination

Kramer Electronics is pleased to announce the addition of two new products to its twisted pair line of long distance audio/video products: the TP-45 and TP-46, which will be shown at CEDIA in booth #611. The TP-45 transmitter and TP-46 receiver are extremely compact and economical products for simplifying the routing of either computer graphics video or component video, along with either unbalanced analog stereo audio or S/PDIF digital audio signals over inexpensive and convenient UTP CAT-5 cable. This transmitter and receiver combination is ideal in a home cinema application for HTDV component video signals or in a professional application where computer graphics video and/or component video signals are being utilized in long range distribution systems.

The TP-45 transmitter accepts a computer graphics video signal on a 15-pin HD connector with resolutions up to UGXA and a component video signal (Y, Cb/Pb, Cr/Pr) on 3 RCA connectors with resolutions up to 1080p. The TP-45 also accepts an unbalanced analog stereo audio signal on a 3.5mm mini jack connector and an S/PDIF digital audio signal on an RCA connector. Both the video and audio signals can be easily selected via push-button switches so the desired combination can be transmitted to the receiver. The audio signal on the TP-46 is distributed simultaneously to the analog and digital audio outputs.

The TP-45 converts the signal for transmission over a standard UTP CAT-5 type twisted pair cable up to 330 ft. (100 meters), where it is transformed back into its original audio and video signal formats by the TP-46. Looping capabilities on the TP-46 allow for the signals to be sent to multiple destinations and displays over even greater distances creating larger systems.

The TP-45 and TP-46 are part of the Kramer‘s TOOLS™ line of extremely compact, cost effective and high quality solution products. Additionally, both the TP-45 and the TP-46 have Kramer‘s Power Connect™ system that allows power to be sent with the video and audio signals down the same twisted pair cable. With the Power Connect system only one of the units, the transmitter or the receiver, needs to be powered. The TP-46 has H & V sync polarity switches for improved HDTV compatibility and Level (gain) and EQ (peaking) controls to adjust the video signals for the best possible image quality. The
TP-46 also has a convenient LED to indicate that it is receiving a signal.

The TP-45 and TP-46 are currently in stock and available from Kramer Electronics USA with a list price of $350 and $495 respectively. Complete product information can be found at www.kramerus.com.
