Da-Lite Announces Pursuit of ISO 14001 Certification
Da-Lite Screen Company has started a “Green AV” initiative by announcing that the company is actively pursuing ISO 14001 certification. ISO 14001 is an environmental management standard which sets specific management requirements for responsible environmental systems. According to Da-Lite‘s CEO, Richard Lundin, “ISO 14001 will help Da-Lite to protect the environment, prevent pollution and improve our green performance.”
“Da-Lite has already put into place a number of green actions such as recycling all of our waste, implementing solar panels on our roof and energy conservation with state of the art interior lighting.” Tim Henson, Executive Vice President of Manufacturing, is leading the company‘s efforts in this area. Mr. Henson stated that “Many companies claim to be green, but it is our opinion that only when a company receives certification from an outside environmental expert such as ISO are they truly green.”
