Image Science Foundation (ISF) Affirms Supernova Screens‘ Quality and Innovation

COSTA MESA, CA — August 16, 2007 – dnp denmark, the world’s leading supplier of optical projection screen technology and developer of the first-ever screen that allows viewing in brightly lit environments, is pleased to present its ISF-Certified Supernova Screens. The retractable Supernova Flex, the curved Supernova Epic and the fixed Supernova Infinity are among a select few projection screens recognized by ISF for their exceptional quality and outstanding video performance.

“We are very proud that the optical attributes of our Supernova Flex, Supernova Epic and Supernova Infinity Screens have met the criteria set forth by ISF,” stated Manfred Freiberger, senior account manager for dnp USA. “ISF certification is currently recognized worldwide as a consumer‘s guarantee that a display maintains uniformity, color balance and accuracy – all attributes that are dnp‘s trademarks.”

The Supernova Screens delivers up to ten times higher contrast and two times brighter images than standard front screens. The technology used to develop Supernova is based on a revolutionary high-contrast filter that allows the projected image to be reflected from the screen, effectively absorbing incident light from other angles such as windows and room lighting. As a result, the screen is virtually unaffected by ambient light.

The newest addition to the Supernova Screen family, the Supernova Epic, is a curved screen that combines superior Supernova optical screen technology with a masking system to bring a sweeping cinematic experience into the home – no matter the aspect ratio. Providing uncompromised widescreen reproduction of movies, the Supernova Epic renders high-contrast images in 100% neutral color and meets the requirements of the most demanding videophiles. The screen is designed for use with an anamorphic lens and enables flexible viewing of both 16:9 and Cinemascope (2.35:1, 2.40:1) movies in full image height. Just as in a real movie theater, the Supernova Epic‘s electronically controlled curtains silently glide into place to maintain constant image height and a professional viewing experience. This product has been certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF).

The Supernova Flex Screen combines superior image quality, minimal space requirements and ease of installation in a discreet and stylish presence. It is perfect for home theater applications and projects where customers prefer an unobtrusive design and the flexibility of a motorized screen.

The Supernova Infinity is a modular and expandable “video wall” large format screen. It is held together by a series of powerful magnets to create a seamless viewing experience. The Infinity is easy to assemble and can be configured to any desired screen size. It is ideal for commercial displays at large venues like shopping malls, large conference or lecture halls, and large scale exhibitions.

During CEDIA EXPO 2007, September 5-9th, 2007 in Denver, Colorado, dnp will showcase the revolutionary Supernova Epic Screen alongside the new Supernova Core and Supernova Flex at Booth #430.

Talking Points:
• Image Science Foundation (ISF) has granted certification to dnp‘s Supernova Flex, Epic and Infinity Screens.
• Supernova Screens deliver up to ten times the contrast and two times the brightness of conventional screens.
• ISF certification means that the Supernova Flex, Supernova Epic and Supernova Infinity exceed the high-standard benchmarks that define the best video performance available for consumers.
