INTELIX RELEASES 2 INPUT BY 8 OUTPUT MULTI-FORMAT HDMI DISTRIBUTION AMPLIFIER

Middleton, WI- Intelix, U.S. manufacturer of audio/video equipment and software, recently announced the release of the HDMI-2X8, a multiple format 8 output distribution amplifier.

“We are extremely excited to release the HDMI-2X8,” explains Steve Cohan, Intelix C.E.O. “With the new HDMI range, Intelix successfully bridges the gap between commercial and residential markets by offering commercial grade performance at a residential price point.”

The HDMI-2X8 is not a standard 2 by 8 distribution amplifier. Instead, it features two independent inputs–an HDMI input, as well as a DVI input with optional digital SPDIF or optical audio. When the DVI/digital audio source is selected, the HDMI-2X8 automatically converts the signal to the HDMI format and routes it to all eight HDMI outputs. Front panel source selection provides switching between the HDMI and DVI/digital audio inputs.

The HDMI-2X8 is either modular or includes rack-ears for mounting in a standard 19” equipment rack. Multiple HDMI-2X8s may be linked for more than eight outputs.

The HDMI-2X8 supports resolutions up to 1080p and is HDCP compliant.

Retail price for the HDMI-2X8 distribution amplifier is $699.95.
