Newly-formed company, Diamond Lamps, believes that most AV dealers could be benefiting far more from the replacement lamp market. The company has just announced a new range of lamps that will be easy to sell and offer high margins.

The new range now includes replacement lamps for around 500 projector models, current and obsolete, from many of the leading brands. All the products use genuine Philips and Osram bulbs to ensure exactly the same performance, operating life and reliability as the original lamps.

Dave Bethell, Managing Director of Just Lamps, sees benefits for both users and dealers: “The users get lower cost lamps which perform just as well as the originals. And, with our new pricing model, dealers can increase margins without risking their reputations by supplying under-performing copy product.”

Prior to this launch, Diamond Lamps has run a pilot scheme in close association with Philips selling a narrow range of lamps to fit historic Philips projector models. This has been a great success, returning higher than predicted sales and demonstrating excellent reliability.
