A virtual press conference from Sound & Video Contractor

Westlake Village, CA (August 24, 2007) – Qsonix, renowned for leading innovation in music management systems, introduces the new reference Q110 touch screen based system and new Version 2.2 Software. Already recognized for development of the industry‘s simplest and fastest drag-and-drop user interface, Qsonix draws increased customer admiration at CEDIA EXPO ‘07 with its highly anticipated next generation Q110 system.

The intuitive and powerful Q110 systems come complete with Qsonix‘s latest version 2.2 software platform, bundled touch screen controller and models with 250GB, 500GB or 1TB of internal storage. The new remarkably quiet system features a powerful, non-technical Graphical User Interface (GUI) that provides built-in help and access to all system features and functions, easy front access USB and accessory ports, four discrete analog audio outputs for multi-room applications and infrared (IR) remote control capabilities.

The new Version 2.2 software enhancement adds a fully integrated MusicGiants™, high-quality HD Download Store Using Qsonix‘s award winning Album Browser™ drag-and-drop interface, customers can quickly browse, sample, purchase and play high quality music from the MusicGiants‘ premium library of more than 500,000 audio tracks. Qsonix further sweetens the user‘s first music shopping experience on their newly purchased music management system with a $50 music store credit.

The all-new Tapestry play list recommendations features expand personalization when building unique play lists focused around each user‘s music preferences and environments. Powered by the AMG™ Tapestry technology, Qsonix allows quick and easy creation of unlimited play lists by selecting from a vast library of styles, theme and mood based attributes or use the one-button “play similar” Tapestry feature to instantly enjoy amazingly similar sounding songs from your library that keep the vibe going, all based on hand-profiled content by AMG‘s expert music staff. These attributes will build perfect play lists for every party, festivity and mood.

Solidly committed to high performance audio fidelity, Qsonix uses the Windows Media Audio (WMA) lossless compression format to deliver a bit-for-bit match of the original CD. On top of being the easiest user interface on the market, the Q110 is also a storage powerhouse. The Q110 library will manage up to 3,000 CDs in high-quality lossless mode and up to 18,000 CDs in compressed mode. In an instant the Q110 automatically retrieves album art and descriptive data about the user‘s CD‘s from the Internet. Customers can easily organize, manage and control the way they access their music.

Responding to requests from our Electronic Systems Contractors and dealers, the new Q110 can be quickly and easily integrated with existing home entertainment control systems such as Crestron, AMX and others to fully maximize their music management system and software investments. The Q110 comes equipped with four discrete analog audio outputs, expanding multi-room capabilities to four zones. The zones can be independently controlled with separate play-lists, playback and volume control. Customers can simultaneously manage and enjoy unique music in multiple locations throughout their house. In addition, Infrared (IR) control capabilities are now included.

“If music enthusiasts had a features wish list for the perfect music system, the Qsonix Q110 is the reference music management system that delivers the wish-list,” said Mike Weaver, president and co-founder of Qsonix. “We listened to our customer and dealer feedback and built the ultimate music management system based on their specific needs.”

And unlike traditional CDs that can be lost, stolen or damaged, Qsonix music management systems are the optimum platform to safeguard music purchases forever. Current Qsonix users are encouraged to contact their Electronic Systems Contractor or Qsonix customer support for details about upgrading to Version 2.2 software, which includes the MusicGiants Store and enhanced Tapestry capabilities.
