VizionWare Introduces Hi-Wirez™ 3400 Series Active HDMI Cables

First Interconnects Capable of 3.4Gb Transmission Speeds at Lengths of Up to 20 Meters

AUSTIN, TX – September 21, 2007 - VizionWare, the Texas-based signal management and signal conditioning company and creator of the award-winning Hi-Wirez™ 1650 Series Active HDMI Cables, announced today the release of the all new Hi-Wirez™ 3400 Series 3.4Gb Active HDMI Cables, the only HDMI cables on the market meeting the new HDMI Type A, Category 2 specification in lengths beyond 1 meter.

Hi-Wirez 3400 Series interconnects represents a substantial step forward in HDMI transmissions. As the passive interconnect industry slowly evolves toward cable systems that are capable of handling transmissions of increasing “lossless” frequencies, the demands placed on these systems are increasing to the point where, once again, they are becoming incapable of performing as well as or better than the best source and sink devices now or soon to be available on the market.

“VizionWare‘s innovative and unique technologies have enabled the development of HDMI Type A, Category 2 functionality in long cable runs”, said Ben Jamison, vice president of sales and marketing for VizionWare. “While some passive cables will be able to pass Category 2 functionality at very short lengths, VizionWare‘s 3400 Series interconnects are capable of full 3.4Gb HDMI Type A, Category 2 functionality at lengths up to 20 meters; 4 times longer than any other solution.”

In keeping with their position as the leader in HDMI cable design, VizionWare‘s proprietary and patented Hi-Wirez Active technologies have made it possible for them to be the first company to market interconnects capable of 3.4Gb transmission speeds (HDMI Type A, Category 2) at lengths of 1, 2, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 20 meters in anticipation of the market launch of source and sink devices capable of Category 2 features, allowing installers to make their current installations “future ready” using VizionWare products.

This “future readiness” provides great benefits, eliminating the frustration and expense for both end-users and system integrators resulting from installing an extensive cabling system only to discover that it will not support the next generation of high performance products currently in development. Hi-Wirez 3400 Series interconnects allow the installation of the most advanced products today – as well as the source and display technologies soon to be launched that can take advantage of Category 2‘s higher speeds.

Hi-Wirez 3.4Gb technology allows for the transmission of such formats as Deep Color™; wider, x.v.Color™ color space; and the new lossless audio formats Dolby TrueHD™ and DTS-HD Master Audio™ – all unsupportable under current passive interconnect technology at lengths greater than 1 meter, and all accessible now with Hi-Wirez 3400 Series Active HDMI Cables.

About VizionWare
VizionWare has developed and applied a patented core silicon technology to create a complete family of next generation digital interconnect products. The company’s award-winning digital technology delivers numerous unique technological advances – including image enhancing circuitry, signal balancing, enhanced transmission technology between the source and sink cable ends – leading to unprecedented improvements to HDMI and DVI digital interconnect cables and adapters. These key advances overcome the limitations of passive analog and pseudo-active cables, enhancing transmission between the source and sink cable ends and lowering EMI radiation and interference with other wired and wireless connections, while delivering theater quality signals to the display independent of cable length.
