Phil Gauvin of Pyro/Fx Entertainment used the Viper NT for a four-day shoot at Mystic, Connecticut where the Charles Morgan, the world‘s last wooden whaler, is docked in the celebrated Mystic Seaport. “We had very little time to recreate smoke in a replica of the try-works, the brick-faced oven where whale blubber was boiled in pots,” he explains. “Despite some wind dispersing the smoke, the Viper was able to refill the area quickly.
