Four contracting companies to receive awards at NSCA Fall Business Conference

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, October 12, 2007 — The voting is over, the ballots have been cast and the winners have been chosen. Committee members for the 10th Annual Fall Business Conference, hosted by the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) on October 21-23, judged businesses nominated in several categories. Four areas were chosen to honor outstanding success: Growth Strategies, Fiscal Responsibility, Professional Development and Strategic Advancement.

“Fall Conference is a terrific venue to recognize leaders in our industry,” said Ray Bailey, president of Lone Star Communications Inc. and a member of the NSCA Board of Directors. “These awards give others a chance to learn from best practices and success stories. You won‘t find another place where industry leaders come together; there is no better time to recognize accomplishments in our industry.”

IVCi LLC was chosen as winner of the Growth Strategy Award. IVCi‘s adoption of video conferencing technology, its collaborative services, and its internal growth and predicted expansion were among the reasons the company was selected. IVCi, a Long-Island, New York-based integrator, provides video conferencing services, audio visual systems, Internet Protocol network services, streaming video solutions and audio conferencing services.

In the area of Fiscal Responsibility, SPL Integrated Solutions stands apart from the crowd. With a mission to always hire the best people, SPL began with three employees and now has more than 450 people on staff. Last year, SPL — a nationwide integrator for audio, video and collaborative communications — celebrated 15 consecutive years of growth and profitability.

Southern Business Communications (SBC), headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, has a clear plan for success. SBC believes the keys to maintaining an educated workforce are to hire the right people, train staff effectively, provide employees with proper support, and focus and measure its business plan. For its training efforts and outreach, SBC is the winner of the Professional Development Award.

Because of its ability to forge partnerships with key manufacturers and vendors, BCD Low Voltage Systems will receive the Strategic Advancement award. The Phoenix, Arizona company — specializing in low-voltage security and A/V integration — expects sales to reach $3 million in 2007. Recent clients include: Phoenix Union High School District, Gila River Gaming and the City of Phoenix.
