Middle Atlantic Products TOR Series Combines Design & Housing OF Security Components

The TOR Series is available in surface mount and flush mount enclosures.

FAIRFIELD, NEW JERSEY, November 7, 2007 – In an introduction that provides integrators with low-profile mounting solutions for security applications, Middle Atlantic Products today introduced its TOR Series Tilt Out Wall Racks. The TOR Series racks enable vertical mounting of components and allow for surface mounting or flush mounting between studs. The TOR Series enclosures are available in two to four rackspaces to meet the needs of a variety of installations.

The TOR Series features a convenient design enabling easy access to equipment controls. Its low-profile appearance allows systems integrators to mount security equipment, such as DVRs and VTRs, without compromising the aesthetic appearance of the space. Moreover, the mounting options provided by the TOR Series provide installers with the ability to satisfy the specific demands of any installation.

The surface mount TOR Series model provides an easy-to-install, unobtrusive solution for storage of security equipment, while the flush mount model saves even more space, enabling installers to build the rack into the wall in any area of the room. The TOR Series also includes an electrical box for high-voltage connections.

“The requirements for locally installed components such as DVRs and VTRs has created a need for versatile mounting solutions that not only provide easy access to the technology, but also complement the aesthetics of the environment,” said Mark Tracy, Director of Marketing, Middle Atlantic Products. “The TOR Series provides intuitive mounting for rackmount and non-rackmount equipment, while occupying minimal space.”

The TOR Series features a tamper-resistant design ideal for use in non-secure areas, and includes a rackrail for use with rackmount equipment, as well as clamp bars for non-rackmount components. The TOR Series features a removable knockout in the back box for cable pass-through, while an additional knockout accommodates Middle Atlantic Products UCP Series universal connector panels and popular connectors. A third knockout accepts RPS Series remote power switches and other Decora® style devices. A number of cable management tie points are integrated throughout the enclosure.

The TOR Series offers up to 20 inches of usable depth, a weight capacity of up to 100 pounds and is engineered to provide effective passive thermal management. Its durable, neutral putty finish blends in seamlessly with most environments. The TOR Series is UL listed in the United States and Canada.
