LED Tickers from Rise Vision, Inc. Boost Energy at University Business Schools

Live news and stock information on scrolling LED tickers create real-life business environment on campus

SHAWNEE, KS – November 14, 2007 – Rise Vision, Inc., a provider of web-based content management software for interactive control of digital signage networks, announces seven new university and higher education customers using its LED ticker digital signage solutions. LED tickers display live news and stock quotes in a continuous, real-time feed that creates a dynamic atmosphere in university business schools and trading rooms.

  • Clemson University in South Carolina was among the first universities with an on-campus trading room. To complete its relocation to a larger and more prominent location, the university added a tri-color LED stock ticker to enhance the atmosphere.
  • Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania installed an LED ticker as part of a lobby renovation project within its College of Business, Information, and Social Sciences.
  • McCann School of Business Technology in Pennsylvania built a boardroom-style classroom in its Pottsville campus with a new LED ticker from Rise. The ticker enhances its Accounting and Marketing & Management programs by providing students with real-life experience with financial markets.
  • Texas A&M International worked with Rise to build and install a custom 39-foot LED ticker that spans two walls and meets at a 90-degree corner.
  • Colorado State Pueblo installed a twin LED ticker with an LCD TV from Rise in its new trading lab.
  • Other schools recently installing LED tickers from Rise include Kennesaw State University in Georgia, and Washington College in Maryland.

“It‘s amazing how much energy an LED ticker can bring to a business school environment,” said Ryan Cahoy of Rise Vision. “Students immediately grasp movements in the markets and react to live information. The tickers help them learn the factors involved in working in a professional trading environment.”
