StrandVision Digital Signage Reaches Through for Shelton Winnelson

SHELTON, Conn. – Nov. 28, 2007 – Plumbing and heating wholesaler, Shelton Winnelson, a member of the WinWholesale group of companies, has installed a digital signage system from StrandVision LLC to inform customers of price specials, events and training seminars.
Explained Prisco Panza, Shelton Winnelson president, “One of the biggest challenges in wholesaling is communicating with our customers. We offer a lot of services that our customers are aware of and use. At the same time, there are offerings they don‘t even know about. We found out that our regular customers, who are in almost every day, were not aware of seminars we offer despite the fact that we use fax, email and mail to send information.”
Panza installed a digital signage system to enhance his customer communications and it appears to be working.
“Customers at the counter have a tendency to look up at the screen when they are waiting for the materials. We found out that when they come to the counter and they see it on the screen, it seems to sink in more. The StrandVision digital sign increases sales and leads to better attendance at our seminars and generally makes customers more aware of the services we‘re providing.”
The StrandVision digital signage Internet-based service includes frequently updated national and local news, weather and sports, as well as Shelton Winnelson announcements and even vendor-sponsored advertising. The digital sign is updated by a Shelton Winnelson administrator to complement other communication materials in order to bring promotional and informational messaging to high traffic customer areas.
