AV Toolbox Scales New Heights with the AVT-3900 HDMI Scaler

The high bandwidth, professional quality AV Toolbox AVT-3900 takes in both analog and digital video signals and up or cross converts them to a 1080p HDMI signal.

ERLANGER, KY, December 11, 2007– The AV Toolbox AVT-3900 is a professional series Scaler that will take both analog and digital formats and output them in a fully compliant HDMI output with up to 1080p resolution. The specific inputs that it accepts are: HDMI, DVI (via DVI to HDMI cable), PC generated RGB (up to WUXGA), HD Component (YPbPr/YCbCr, 480i up to 1080p), S-Video and Composite Video. The AVT-3900 retails for $695 and is currently available.

The scaling engine processes the selected input signal and delivers an HDMI output that is compliant with version 1.2 protocols. An integrated HDMI/DVI/HDCP receiver is central to the processor along with 3-D motion adaptive de-interlacers. The 3:2 pull-down, 2:2 pull-down detection/recovery and 3-D noise reduction complete the superior video signal processing capability.

Audio inputs are provided for all sources and follow the video input selected. The HDMI output has embedded audio. An additional SPDIF audio output is provided for ease of connection to existing audio systems. Both digital and analog audio processing is supported and audio delays of up to 150ms can be introduced to insure lip sync.

The AVT-3900 may be operated from the front panel switches or via the supplied Infrared Remote Control. An On Screen Display (OSD) makes operation of the scaler fast and simple.
