Impulse Audio Provides Magic for Snowflake Lane

David May at Impulse Audio, Inc. recently overhauled the audio system at Bellevue Square just in time for the Northwest‘s premier shopping space‘s annual holiday parades and events, adding a distributed system of a hundred McCauley AC75 loudspeakers.

Snowflake Lane has been a tradition in the City of Bellevue since 2005, beginning just before Thanksgiving and ending on December 31st. Described in the past as a “one-of-a-kind” spectacle for children of all ages, Displaymaker Productions pulls out all stops, featuring large scale drums with life size toy soldiers lining the street, animated snowflake lights decorating poles and 36 snow machines making childhood dreams of a snowy holiday season a reality for an evening. Throughout the span of the transformation of Bellevue Square, carolers, drummer parades and even a visit from a jolly old fat man are all part of the festivities. more

Clay Paky’s Alpha Spot HPE 1200s Added To Lighting Inventory At Madison Square Garden

MSGMadison Square Garden, New York City‘s premiere indoor venue for sporting events, concerts and live entertainment, has added four Clay Paky Alpha Spot HPE 1200s to an existing complement of 24 Clay Paky Stage Zoom 1200 fixtures. Scott Humphrey‘s Delaware-based Light Action was the dealer of record for the sale.

Lighting designer Patrick Dierson of Artfag specified the Alpha Spot HPE 1200s. Dierson works directly with the National Hockey League‘s New York Rangers and the NBA‘s New York Knicks, who both call the Garden home, and is often called in by Garden operational personnel as a theatrical consultant. “They know what they want to happen but don‘t have the technical expertise to specify equipment,” Dierson explains. “I bridge that gap to make sure what they need is implemented seamlessly.” more
