CASIO EXPANDS SUPER SLIM PROJECTORS

Slim and easily portable 2,000 ANSI Lumens projectors
No PC Needed for Presentations

LAS VEGAS, NV, JANUARY 7, 2008 — Casio America, announced today the release of two new ultra-bright models in the Super Slim Projector series. The new XJ-S31 and XJ-S36 feature a brightness of 2,000 ANSI lumens in a very slim piece of equipment with a height of just 1.69” (1.26” at the thinnest point). The new projectors will be on display at Casio‘s Booth # 9808.

The XJ-S31 and XJ-S36 enhance the Super Slim Data Projector family that includes the XJ-S41 and XJ-S46, which feature a brightness of 2,500 ANSI lumens. The Superslim line is known for its compact size and portability. This series of projectors has won rave reviews from both businesses and schools, and are used for a broad range of applications.

Original Casio technologies such as a high-efficiency compact light source and a single-fan, two-compartment cooling system are the secret to the diminutive size (1.26” at the thinnest point) of the two new Super Slim Projectors, which both pack a powerful 2,000 ANSI lumens. Equipped with a wide-angle 2X powered zoom lens for maximum flexibility and ideal for use in various settings, from small meeting rooms to larger conference rooms and classrooms

The XJ-S36 is equipped with a USB port, and can be used wirelessly or without a PC. The projectors can load and illustrate many forms of data* stored on a USB memory device without a PC connection. This includs presentations, spreadsheets, word processed documents, PDF files, still images (JPEG and BMP) and AVI format videos (compatible with MPEG4 and Motion JPEG). An optional wireless adapter frees users to deliver presentations without having to stay near the projector. A multi-functional camera system, which is sold separately, can also be directly connected to the projectors without the need for a PC.

“We are pleased to introduce the addition of XJ-S31 and XJ-S36 to our line of Super Slim projectors,” said Frank Romeo, Vice President of Business and Professional Products. “Designed with the road warrior in mind, these super slim projectors will fit into a briefcase along with a laptop making them the perfect business travel tool.”

* Data from presentation, spreadsheet, and word processor software, and PDF files, must be converted using the bundled software for PC

The XJ-S31 will have an MSRP of $999, the XJ-S36 an MSRP of $1,299 and the
YC-430 an MSRP of $999.
