BEAVERTON, OREGON, January 7, 2008 — In move to support its burgeoning growth across all vertical markets in the Northern European marketplace, Biamp® Systems today announced the appointment of Peter Owen as Regional Sales Manager for Western Europe. In his new position, Owen, who most recently served as International Sales Manager for Martin Audio, will be responsible for managing sales operations in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, France, Spain, Iceland and Greenland. Owen reports directly to Graeme Harrison, Biamp Systems Vice President of International Sales and will be based regionally in Bedfordshire, England.

Peter Owen joins Biamp Systems with extensive sales management experience in professional audio and systems integration. He became International Sales Manager for Martin Audio in 2003 and was responsible for all operational and distributor management in 20 key territories. Prior to Martin Audio, Owen was Project Sales Specialist at Arbiter Group in London where he managed major projects including installations at major stadia, entertainment venues and nightclubs. He began his career as UK Sales Manager for pro audio manufacturer StudioMaster in Luton where he was responsible for supporting customers and integrators in a broad array of pro audio applications, for meeting sales and budgetary targets and providing a direct conduit on ideas and information from the market to the company‘s R&D department.
