Harman Pro Group Audio System Provides Optimum Atmospherics At Dutch Restaurant & Winebar

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, 29 January, 2008 — Underscoring the versatility and superior performance of audio components from the brands of the Harman Pro Group, the company today showcased an impressive new system featuring products from JBL Professional, Crown and BSS Audio at The Hunting Lodge, an exclusive wine bar and restaurant in a popular tourist destination near Arnhem in Eastern Holland. The system, designed and integrated by AudioXL, features JBL Control Contractor Series loudspeakers, 11 Crown CT Series amplifiers and two BSS Soundweb networked processing units.

The Hunting Lodge is a pastoral, idyllic venue, home to Arnhem‘s most exclusive wine bar and restaurant features private dining rooms, meeting rooms and accommodations that required separate audio zoning. To project the appropriate brand impression, management sought to create exactly the right audio atmospherics by carefully selecting brand-appropriate music playlists for each zone and for different times of the day. They were equally determined that the audio system they invested in would accurately and consistently deliver the playlists with minimal technical know-how as it would ultimately be operated by a non-technical, hospitality staff.

The system is comprised of 39 JBL Control Contractor Series speakers divided between the meeting room, wine bar, and the separate restaurant area. In the wine bar, 8 JBL Control 26C units and 3 Control 24C ceiling mount speakers, each featuring titanium-coated tweeters, are able to deliver maximum sound level over a wide coverage area. For low frequency support, 2 Control 19CS powerful, in-ceiling subwoofers are installed. Elsewhere, there are two restaurants within The Hunting Lodge, each equipped with 9 JBL Control 24CTs with multi-tap transformers. The primary restaurant houses 17 JBL Control 24CTmicros. These are compact, in-ceiling speakers, providing full, high quality sound for background music and paging systems.

Power is provided by a Crown CTs 4200 and a Crown CTs 8200, which are designed specifically for installed sound situations. AudioXL expanded the capabilities and provided control of the system via 2 BSS Soundweb SW9088 output expanders, plus 4 remotes. Two remotes are the BSS Soundweb sw9010, which features a graphic LCD display, six programmable soft keys, a programmable parameter wheel and two inputs for paging microphones. The remaining two remotes are the BSS Soundweb sw9015 wall panels that allow The Hunting Lodge‘s staff a quick and easy way to control the system without having to possess professional audio skills.

“Successful hospitality professionals understand that the key to a holistically positive client experience — and return business — lies in careful attention to the details,” notes Mark Bailey, Harman Pro Group Applications Engineer. “At the Harman Pro Group, we also understand this premise and we carefully design and manufacture our components and systems to faithfully deliver the background music our customers elect to make the soundtrack of their brands! When it comes to music for commercial applications, there is no other provider better equipped or more committed to serving the needs of businesses.”
