INDIANAPOLIS, IN – FEBRUARY 4, 2008 — Auralex Acoustics, Inc., the industry leader in innovative sound control solutions, recently equipped Keynote‘s newest recording and live performance venue, East Street Studios, with its renowned acoustical treatments.

Keynote, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, commissioned Auralex Acoustics to treat its newly constructed 15,000 square foot performance space, located in Westfield, Indiana. Sixty-four Elite C44 ProPanels were installed throughout the venue in order to cut the reverberation time of the room.

As the newest addition to Auralex‘s ProPanel product line, the Elite C44 ProPanel is a 4′x4′ absorption panel in a 2″ thickness, providing a cost-effective and professional broadband treatment option when a significant amount of coverage is needed. Its Overall NRC of 1.05 makes it the perfect choice for controlling many common acoustical problems at a wide range of frequencies.

“The panels exceeded my expectations,” said Dave Fackler, Keynote‘s East Street Studios project manager. “When we had tried to EQ the room without the panels this past spring, it was a mess. The RTA showed peaks and valleys all over the place, it was very difficult to get the room anywhere close to flat. But with Auralex‘s C44 panels installed, we re-set the EQ to flat and the RTA showed…flat! Every place we measured, in front of all five speakers hanging from the ceiling, it was amazingly flat.”

The venue provides space for rehearsal, live performances, and a recording studio. Keynote uses popular music and the performing arts to communicate a message of love and hope. The ministry has several bands that travel throughout the year in the U.S. and internationally. Keynote also hosts a summer program for college-age musicians, training them in performance and communication skills.
