Biamp Systems Expands Education And Training Program
Biamp‘s Training Program now includes Spanish Audia classes, Advanced Audia Training and global training locations
AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, January 29, 2008 — Underscoring its commitment to support the systems integration market‘s most effective and reliably-performing digital audio processing and network technologies with equally comprehensive education and training programs, Biamp® Systems today announced the expansion of its acclaimed training and education programs in 2008 to include growing numbers of non-English language courses, advanced training courses, and the creation of Audia certification classrooms in three locations outside of North America.
“Sophisticated, high-performing technology without advanced training and education would be akin to providing a Formula One race car without an ignition switch,” explained Steve Metzger, Biamp Systems Vice President of Business Development. “Today with the addition of Audia certification courses in Spanish, we‘re opening up our Learning Center to a broader audience of systems integrators and we will continue to look at ways to advance the curriculum and also the number of languages that we support.”
Biamp Systems‘ Learning Center is located at the company‘s Beaverton, Oregon headquarters and is recognized as one of the most expansive and progressive integrator resources available to the market today. The company has continually invested heavily in training technologies to make its Learning Center among the most advanced in the business. Biamp Systems offers twice-monthly, four-day immersive courses in hands-on product training focused on hardware, software, and the practical application of both.
“For some time our view has been that convergence is inevitable and the educational services and infrastructure Biamp Systems has developed to support this is crucial,” Metzger continued. “The ongoing training and education of integration partners is essential to ensuring a successful execution of the audio and IT confluence. For several years, our products have leveraged networking technologies for communications, control, and signal distribution. As the two fields continue to converge, the need exists to continually refresh the training content because of the changing nature of the technology and the people who attend.”
Demand for seats has grown dramatically over time, with students attending from all over the world. In 2008, Biamp Systems will replicate the programs and infrastructure used in the Beaverton Learning Center in international markets with a plan for three new international training locations. In addition, new classes for students seeking advanced skills are being added to the training schedule.
In addition to factory training Biamp Systems also issues monthly technical newsletters, and provides training modules on the web at Biamp.com. Online resources include product-specific, frequently asked questions gathered from customer feedback and experience and technical notes posted by Biamp‘s tech support team.
