Furman Brings Elegant New Design to Elite-16 PF E and Elite-10 E for 220V-240V Markets

PETALUMA, Calif. — Jan. 28, 2008 – Furman/Panamax, a world-leading provider of power management solutions, today announced the release of newly designed Furman Elite-16 PF E i and Elite-10 E i power management products for 220V-240V markets. The bold yet elegant new designs feature smooth contours of black steel with clear blue LED lights while offering the same performance and technologies Furman‘s customers have come to rely on.

The new Elite-16 PF E i and Elite-10 E i units will be designated with a letter “i” at the end of each model number to differentiate them from the original Elite series. The new family of power conditioners features the same uncompromising level of performance customers have come to expect from Furman.

The Elite-10 E i power conditioner features a digital AC voltage meter, which allows precise measurement of the incoming AC line voltage. It is also outfitted with Furman‘s Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT), which suppresses noise dramatically and consistently across the entire dynamic range; Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) to clamp and dissipate damaging transient voltages at the highest degree available without sacrificing itself; and Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) circuitry, protecting against prolonged overvoltages by shutting off the incoming power until the overvoltage condition is corrected.

The Elite-16 PF E i power conditioner also features Power Factor Technology to provide more than 55 amps of peak charge surplus current for power-starved amplifiers. This prevents low-level analog, digital, and video components from being modulated or distorted by the power amplifier‘s extreme AC current demands.

“We are very excited to offer our worldwide customers the fresh new look of our Elite-16 PF E i and Elite-10 E i,” said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Furman and Panamax. “In addition to a more refined, elegant design that will complement any home-theater system, the units provide our customers with the unparalleled levels of protection and noise reduction that they rely on.”

Furman‘s refined Elite-16 PF E i and Elite-10 E i power conditioners will begin shipping in February. Furman‘s original Elite Series power management products will still be available while supplies last.
