AVLEX ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF BARDL P SERIES MIXERS

Kansas City, MO – February 2008 … Avlex Corporation, the name audio professionals turn to for world-class wireless technology, microphones, and professional audio equipment, is pleased to announce the availability of the Bardl P Series audio mixers. Available in 8- and 12-channel configurations, the Bardl P Series offer a wealth of features that make these mixers ideal for a wide range of audio applications, including general sound reinforcement for both fixed and portable use as well as integration into desktop recording environments.

The Bardl P Series mixers provide both USB (Universal Serial Bus) and S/PDIF digital connectivity–enabling these mixers to integrate digitally with personal computers and dedicated audio hardware. Plug and Play compatible (no drivers required) with both Windows and Macintosh personal computers, the integrated USB capability facilitates bi-directional audio communication with software-based recording applications while the S/PDIF port enables a CD recorder or other similar equipment to serve as a mastering deck. Adding still greater flexibility, two of the same model mixers can be cascaded for increased channel capacity via a 9-pin D-Sub connector.

The P Series mixers also provide switchable mic/line inputs (four on the 8-channel P80U / eight on the 12-channel P120U)–facilitating the ability to easily accommodate a variety of inputs. For both fixed and portable sound reinforcement applications, this capability provides maximum flexibility for accommodating microphones and a variety of playback equipment. Additionally, these mixers provide dual stereo inputs specifically designed for playback from CD players and other stereo sources.

For monitoring and adjusting the sound of individual channels, Groups, or the Main output, the Bardl P Series is the right tool for the job. Primary input channels have 3-band shelving EQ while a contour control is provided for Groups 1, 2, and the Main L-R stereo bus. For monitoring, The P Series mixers provide separate headphone level control and direct output control for recording. Adding additional flexibility are the mixer‘s provisions for dual bus outputs and 3 AUX outputs.

As one would expect in a small recording console, the Bardl P Series mixers provide 48-Volt Phantom power for use with high quality condenser microphones. For visual feedback, the P Series mixers provide 4-segment LED indicators for the Main/Group outputs.

Jack Nead, national sales manager for Avlex Corporation, commented on the new Bardl P Series mixers. “The new Bardl P Series mixers offer an ideal combination of input capacity, output flexibility, rugged design, and tactile feel that make them a terrific choice for a wide range of audio applications,” said Nead. “I‘m confident audio professional s and enthusiasts alike will find these compact mixers to be a great choice for both small recording environments as well as fixed and portable PA systems.”

The new Bardl P Series mixers carry a MSRP of $379.00 (P80U) and $439.00 (P120U). Both models are available now.
