ITC One from SE2 Labs Creates New Model for Custom Installations
SE2 LABS INTRODUCES THE ULTIMATE HOME ENTERTAINMENT SOLUTION FOR CUSTOM INSTALLERS
With the incredibly comprehensive, first-of-its-kind ITC One home entertainment system, SE2 does the labor-intensive programming and integration for you.
Draper, Utah – March 27, 2008 – SE2 Labs today announced the shipment of its ITC One (Integrated Theater Console) home entertainment system, which integrates audio, HD video, gaming, DVR functions, A/V signal processing and control into a one-box solution that is roughly the size of two PC consoles. This never-seen-before level of integration in a single product is designed to make life significantly easier for custom installers, who until now routinely perform all of the integration found in the ITC One themselves, at considerable time, expense and, often, frustration.
“SE2 Labs thought of everything with the ITC One, so the installer doesn’t have to, says company founder and CEO Michael Pyle. “Having been an installer myself in my previous life, I was constantly surprised by how well systems didn’t work. We set out to solve that problem for both the consumer and the installer. This system is easy to use for the client and easy to implement for the installer. The ITC One is the closest our industry has come to ‘productizing’ a custom installation—but the best part is, the custom installer is still very much a required part of the process.
The ITC One unites revolutionary design, world-class audio and video performance, and exquisite simplicity into an easy-to-use, first-of-its-kind home theater device that delivers all of the functionality of multiple components without the complexities, inefficiencies, tribulations and confusing connectivity issues. The list of previously standalone components that can be included and integrated within any ITC One is staggering— DirecTV high-definition DVR, Dish Network DVR or national cable providers’ DVR(including Comcast, Time Warner, Cox Cable and more), AMX NetLinx Control System, Bryston pre-amp processor with full digital outputs, IcePower high-end D-class amplifiers, Vidikron high-end video processor, Apple Video iPod dock, proprietary remote control, Microsoft Xbox 360, Blu-ray drive, media center, Nintendo Wii, Transparent Cable power conditioning, Transparent cabling and cable harness, and an anti-noise/vibration system.
“The ITC One delivers the custom installer’s usual magic without requiring the usual herculean effort to make that magic happen, says Pyle. “The ITC One is the very definition of plug-and-play, and set-up is incredibly simple. Just connect the power, video source and speakers, turn it on, and blow away your happy client!
Although it takes much of the challenge out of a custom installation, the ITC One is not a retail or DIY product. It will be sold through a select group of custom installers who will deliver and set up the system for users—and reap the associated high margins. Each and every ITC One is unique, and perfectly suited to the client’s needs and requirements. With the installer’s help, clients can design their own personalized systems on the SE2 website. Each ITC One is then built and shipped within two weeks of the build date.
To engineer and deliver this groundbreaking product, SE2 Labs has partnered with some of the top high-end brands in the A/V industry. Using floating circuit boards on removable cards to minimize size and maximize performance, the ITC One provides a centralized power system and single touch screen (or remote) control of all of its internal components as well as connected video display, auxiliary components, screens, drapery and room lighting. The remote control for the ITC One features innovations like color volume feedback, remote locator beeper and RF communication. The net result is a single console that is astoundingly a mere 17 5/8 inches Wide x 23 7/8 inches high x 22 inches deep. With seven full patents, the ITC One is the only high-end, all-in-one home entertainment system of its kind on the market today.
Upgrades and maintenance are also easy, since every part of the ITC One is modular. All parts can be swapped or repaired with little effort, and SE2 Labs provides a five-year warranty on each system.
The ITC One has an MSRP of $25,000.
