NILES, IL, April 2, 2008 – Shure Incorporated is pleased to announce that Aline Barros has joined the Company’s expanding roster of artist endorsers. An important figure in gospel music in Brazil for many years, she began singing in her church when she was 14 years old.

By the time she was 16, Barros was asked to participate in some of the most popular television programs in Brazil, including Xuxa, Raul Gil, Eliana, Carla Perez, Super Pop, Hebe Camargo, and Gilberto Barros. In addition, she has been featured in newspapers, magazines, and other publications throughout South America.

Having sold more than five million CDs and DVDs during her career, Barros’ popularity continues to grow. In 2007, she received a Latin GRAMMY award for Best Gospel Album.

Barros joins Lulu Santos and Chris Durán as one of Shure’s Brazilian artist endorsers. She will use Shure products exclusively on all tours and recording sessions, including a UHF-R wireless system with a Beta 87C microphone and PSM 700 personal monitors with SCL4 earphones.
