Vaddio Announces New High Definition Series LCD Rack Mount Monitors

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (April 9, 2008) – Vaddio, the leading manufacturer and OEM distributer of specialty PTZ cameras and high-end camera control systems used in the broadcasting, audio/visual and videoconferencing industries, announced today the release of the new PreVIEW HD Dual 7.0 and PreVIEW HD Triple 5.7 LCD Rack Mount Monitors.

The PreVIEW HD Dual 7.0 features two 7-inch (17.78 cm) high definition LCD monitors, while the PreVIEW HD Triple 5.7 features three 5.7-inch (14.48 cm) high definition monitors – both with exceptional video clarity and color handling. They provide cleaner, sharper video images ideal for applications that require high resolution monitoring of HD and SD cameras, including houses of worship, training rooms and boardrooms at corporate facilities.

The LCD screens can display 16:9 video in letterbox mode and provide on-screen display of Brightness, Contrast, Color and Sharpness settings. Both monitors feature SD and HD inputs on BNC connectors with loop-thru outputs, as well as tally lights above each monitor to provide visual indication of which signal is alive. The Triple 5.7 monitor contains nearly 1 million pixels and the Dual 7.0 monitors boast over 1 million pixels for greater detail required to focus HD cameras. The monitors can also be tilted up and down for optimum viewing angle.

“HD video signals require higher picture resolution to allow broadcast technicians to confirm the color quality and sharpness of video signals, said Rob Sheeley, Vaddio’s president and CEO. “Our PreVIEW HD series of monitors provide excellent resolution and color reproduction in 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios.
