MITSUBISHI DIGITAL ELECTRONICS AMERICA ANNOUNCES XD211U PROJECTOR FOR BUSINESS AND EDUCATION MARKETS

IRVINE, Calif., May XX, 2008 — Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division, known for award-winning, high-quality, high-definition presentation and display products, today announced its new XD211U data projector. The XD211U is a native XGA (1024 x 768 pixels) resolution projector that uses the latest DLP® technology from Texas Instruments, and its new DDP 2230 DMD chip with BrilliantColor®.

With its compact design and economical form factor that weighs just six pounds, the conveniently portable Mitsubishi XD211U offers a rich combination of features like instant shut-off and an efficient lamp that lasts up to 3000 hours with 2200 lumens of brightness. In addition, the XD211U also comes with an auto-search feature that automatically recognizes either video or data input sources.

Most importantly, the Mitsubishi XD211U is designed with a removable control key pad that also acts as a remote control, so in rooms where access to the projector needs to be restricted and/or monitored, the removable control panel acts as a theft-deterrent and a great way to control usage.

“We consider our XD211U an entry-level projector with high-level specifications,? said Wayne Kozuki, product manager, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division. “The combination of features and high brightness makes this projector perfect for office and school environments.?

In addition to the detachable key pad, the Mitsubishi XD211U also comes with a sturdy security hook built into the projector’s attractively designed white cabinet to help avoid theft and unauthorized removal of the projector.

Mitsubishi’s new, high-brightness XD211U enables users to present in a myriad of lighting conditions, even in rooms with the lights on and window shades open. Instant shut-off lets users make rapid exits after a presentation, using a quick power-down feature to accommodate tight classroom or conference room schedules without damage to the projector. Its five-segment color wheel (R, G, B, W, Y) provides dazzling overall color, while its 2000:1 contrast ratio creates darker blacks in presentations and video.

“Our new XD211U confirms Mitsubishi’s reputation for advanced features in high quality projectors at an introductory price,? said James Chan, director, product marketing, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division.

Pricing, Availability, Warranty
Mitsubishi’s XD211U carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1595 and will be available in May through authorized Mitsubishi dealers. The projector comes with Mitsubishi’s three-year limited warranty on parts and labor plus a one-year limited warranty on the lamp. The XD211U is also covered by Mitsubishi’s award-winning three year Express Replacement Assistance (ERA) Program, a nationwide comprehensive service provided for units under warranty that offers next business-day replacement for down units.
