THE RAPCOHORIZON COMPANY SHOWCASES MEDIA DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS AT INFOCOMM 2008
LAS VEGAS, NV, May 15, 2008 ― The RapcoHorizon Company, leading manufacturer of audio/video interfacing and cable equipment, will feature its Media Distribution System models, MDS-108 and MDS-112, at InfoComm 2008 (Booth C4009). Intended for live media applications and press conferences where one microphone is split to multiple video recorders or cameras, the MDS-108 features eight outputs while the MDS-112 offers 12.
These units feature both ¼ balanced and XLR input connectors for line level signals, and can drive several outputs at any given time. All output channels offer ground lift switches as well. Additionally, each have 1/8 inch connectors on the first two output channels and 20dB pads with ground lift switches on the input section. All channels are transformer isolated and the user can daisy-chain multiple MDS units together when more than twelve outputs are needed. Each model’s 18-gauge steel box is portable with two carry handles for convenient usage.
Darius Seabaugh, Vice President of Marketing for The RapcoHorizon Company, explains, “These Media Distribution Systems models are of great benefit for applications such as broadcast election coverage. A single mic at podium can be split into multiple outputs to feed news crews video recording throughout the event.
