Draper Offers InfoComm Courses on “Green AV
(Spiceland, Ind.) –During the 2008 InfoComm trade show, Draper, Inc. is once again presenting the “green face of AV. Draper will present two training courses during the 2008 show.
The first course, “A/V in Green Building: What You Need to Know, will be presented Wednesday, June 18 from 8-10am, in room MT64. This session will focus on green buildings, the issues they present for incorporating A/V and how to address those issues.
The second course, “Motorized Shades: Control Your Lighting Environment will look at integrating motorized shade controls into A/V or building controls to control the daylighting which plays such a large role in green design. This session will be presented Wednesday, June 18 from 12:30-2pm, in room MT65.
Both courses will be presented by Draper Green Buildings Coordinator Clint Childress, LEED AP, who also presented green A/V manufacturer’s training at InfoComm 2007.
“There was such a high level of interest following last year’s show, we felt it was imperative to talk about green A/V issues again, according to Childress. “Sustainable methods and products are certainly coming into the world of AV, and its important that people understand how to be ‘green’ without sacrificing performance.
