RTcom USA Inc. Launches OLC FX Fiber Optic DVI Extension System

OLCSparta, N.J., (April 3, 2008) – RTcom USA Inc., provider of digital connectivity solutions for professional and consumer audio-visual and personal computer systems, today announced the OLC FX – a compact, fiber optic extension system for the long-distance transmission of digital video interface (DVI) signals. Featuring one transmitter and one receiver, the OLC FX is high-definition content protection (HDCP) compliant and supports Display Data Channel (DDC) communication. The OLC FX makes it possible to extend digital DVI signals up to 1,640 feet from a video source to a DVI compatible display.

OLC CableStandard DVI signals transmitted over copper wire maintain signal integrity for as little as 15 feet. Longer distances require additional technology. RTcom USA provides solutions for extending digital DVI signals from 3 feet to 1,640 feet.
The Digital Extender™ OLC FX Converter features RTcom USA’s cutting-edge optical conversion technology which enables noise-free, high-resolution extension. The OLC FX’s connectors are detachable from the fiber optic cables, making it an ideal solution for feeding cable through small openings.
