BOSTON, MA.— Three of Adtec’s signEdjes were used in the opening of “Choosing to Participate,” the award-winning traveling exhibit that was on display at the Boston Public Library from January through May 2008. The exhibit welcomed visitors from all over New England including some 10,000 middle and high school students. The showcase focused on four individuals and communities whose stories illustrate the courage, initiative, and compassion that are needed to protect democracy and human rights.

The exhibit was produced by Russell Brosnahan Haffner Multimedia Inc. (RBH Multimedia Inc.) who has developed and produced audio-visual experiences for more than thirty years. “The three players worked flawlessly…at the Boston opening of “Choosing to Participate”, projecting our three-screen video program at a resolution higher than I expect anyone had seen in that auditorium to date. Teenagers as well as guys in business suits were seen to wipe away a tear or two,” stated Steve Brosnahan, partner and principal of RBH Multimedia Inc.

The signEdje is the perfect solution for High Definition Plasma and LCD digital signage or kiosk applications. The unit features MPEG 2 and AVC/H.264 high definition and standard definition file playback from solid state storage and IP stream decoding. Video content is easily loaded, managed, and prompted for playback using the mediaControl software which runs on both Windows and Mac OSX operating systems. With the ability to view log files and real-time playout data, day-to-day operations and troubleshooting are streamlined with mediaControl.

Whatever your source, the signEdje automatically scales video content to match your monitor’s capabilities up to a dazzling full 1080P high definition display. Users can broadcast both SD and HD contents within the same player.
