YAMAHA COMMERCIAL AUDIO SYSTEMS TO DISTRIBUTE NEW AUVITRAN ETHERSOUND COMPATIBLE PRODUCTS

AuviTran AVRed-ES100—Three New Products Make InfoComm 2008 Debut—

LAS VEGAS, Nevada—Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. (YCAS) has announced that it will distribute three new AuviTran products on display at InfoComm 2008 in booths C3969 and C4069 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The AuviTran AVM500-ES, AVRed-ES100 and AVY16-ES100 will be added to the existing line of Auvitran products that YCAS currently distributes.

The AVM500-ES unit is an EtherSound network matrix that can link and route of up five EtherSound networks together, including Yamaha digital products and other EtherSound- compatible digital products. Contained in a 19? 1U rack, the AVM500-ES can matrix up to 320 channels of audio and further enhance standard EtherSound daisy-chain connection of bi-directional ES devices or networks. Multiple units can be linked together using the unit’s twin In and Out ports creating a redundant ring of ES networks.

“Our dealers have had great success with AuviTran products,? states Marc Lopez, marketing manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. “With the emergence of EtherSound and the compatibility of AuviTran products with our mixer and DSP-based products, we are confident that these new products will do quite well.?

The AVM500-ES can be controlled remotely via its native integrated network status report capability. Any AVM500-ES can be fully monitored and controlled remotely from a PC using ESMonitor software available for free download on the AuviTran web site. AuviTran’s ES-Monitor software, a Windows XP application, can automatically locate and manage the unit which contains an auxiliary power supply safety input device.

The AuviTran AVRed-ES100 is an EtherSound redundant link management device that is housed in a 19″ 1U rack for safe Ethernet audio distribution and low propagation delay. The AVRed-ES100 secures EtherSound connection with two redundant links and can also work in tandem with another AVDRed-ES100 unit or as a single unit placed remotely to provide network status with its I/O read/write function.

AuviTran’s AVY16-ES100 card provides 16 input and 16 output channels of EtherSound compatibility for Yamaha digital mixers, DSP processors and TXn amplifiers using a ‘mini-YGDAI’ interface. The card’s ES-Monitor software is a Windows Vista/XP application and can run on a remote PC connected to the primary master of an EtherSound or the third port of an AVY16-ES100 network segment through standard Ethernet connections. The software provides automatic discovery of AVY16-ES100 card(s) and/or any Ether Sound-compatible device on a network as well as interconnection between them.

The AuviTran card enables the use of aliases to identify modules, network name and group management, and monitors connection, disconnection and error status for all cards and EtherSound links. The card automatically identifies manufacturer ID, product ID and Channel I/O and can locally patch the assignment of any YGDAI input or output to the required EtherSound channel.

The AuviTran AVM500-ES, AVRed-ES100 and AVY16-ES100 will be available July 2008 at an MRSP of $8,900, $4,800, and $1,399, respectively.
