Russian State Television Invests in RTS Intercom Systems
Straubing / Moscow It isn’t just the athletes that have to gear up for major sporting events like the Olympic Games – to the technical service providers, too, world-class events like these represent a challenge for which they must prepare at length. For this reason, Russian state television’s RTR Sport Moscow is already investing in the equipment it will be using when the Winter Olympics come to Russia in the year 2014. The centerpiece of the new acquisitions is a dual frame Advanced Digital Audio Matrix (ADAM) from RTS purchased from and installed by TELEX/RTS’s Russian partner Qualitron. The two frames of the ADAM have been installed in different buildings but are linked by fiber-optic cable.
To optimize communication with units out and about at the Games, RTR has also invested in an RTS Cronus matrix. The system the broadcaster opted for in this case boasts two frames and 64 ports. more
