InfoComm Booth C1740 — Audio/video professionals interested in assigning multiple computers to several different displays will find the new 8×8 DVI Matrix from Gefen a useful solution. It requires no networking, instead enabling a simple and direct connection among eight DVI computers and eight DVI displays using its 16 DVI inputs/outputs. To control multiple computer workstations, users have the option of accessing all connected devices using the Gefen IR remote control or by opting to use a smart control system via the unit’s RS-232 connection.

An optional 8×8 Matrix RMT remote control enables the entire integrated system, including all eight computers and displays, to be accessed and controlled remotely from up to 1000-feet in distance. The RMT unit offers local switching control on its front panel, wirelessly through its IR control or via the RS-232 port. The 8×8 Matrix RMT remote control is connected to the matrix through a ten-foot CAT-5 cable.

The ability to create multiple, long-distance computer workstations each supporting hi-def resolutions to 1080p or 1920×1200 is ideal for any pro audio/video environment including post-production. The unit delivers true hi-def video instantly with no signal delays or dropouts.
