AMD/MEDIAPOINTE ANNOUNCES ON-DEMAND MPEG-4 STREAMING WITH NEW DNS210e DIGITAL NETWORK STREAMER
NEWBURY PARK, Calif. – June 18, 2008 – Advanced Media Design (AMD), developer of the award-winning AV-over-IP collaboration technology MediaPOINTE®, today announced its continuing product line development with its Digital Network Streamer (DNS) 210e. The improved DMR210e streams live presentations, training sessions, meetings, distance learning courses and videoconferences in high definition, WXGA resolution in MPEG-4 format.
MediaPOINTE’s DNS210e is a powerful file streamer designed to deliver full-motion video, CD-quality stereo audio and full-resolution graphics in either Unicast or Multicast, up to 30 frames per second. It provides an easy way to broadcast content using a simple web interface and RS-232 programmability for seamless networking and control.
Multiple streaming profiles can be programmed into the appliance; presenters simply and easily click on the streaming profile desired without having to change major settings; a streaming session is only just a click or push button away. Users control the unit via a simple web interface or by remote control.

With standards-based encoding into MPEG-4, recipients of the stream can watch either on their computer through QuickTime or on a number of displays using MediaPOINTE’s new Digital Media Decoder (DMD) 200, announced separately today.
MediaPOINTE’s DNS210e has an updated GUI (graphic user interface) for effortless user control and an enhanced Control Line Interface for easier control programming and system integration. It also features new audible notification tones that confirm user interaction, system procedures and programming.
