Kramer Introduces New High Performance Matrix Switcher for HDMI
Kramer Electronics is pleased to announce the introduction of the VS-66HDMI high performance matrix switcher for HDMI signals. The product is a 6×6 HDMI switcher that re-clocks and equalizes the signal and can route any or all of the six inputs to any or all of the six outputs simultaneously. It is ideal for a wide range of Pro AV and residential applications.
The VS-66HDMI matrix switcher features Kramer’s re-Klocking and Equalization Technology, which rebuilds the digital signal integrity and enables it to travel longer distances. The unit also offers enhanced EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) handling. It can capture an EDID setting from a monitor connected to an output and store it in non-volatile memory. The VS-66HDMI can then always output the best possible signal.
Built for the growing popularity of HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface), the VS-66HDMI supports up to 1.65Gbps bandwidth per graphic channel, which is suitable for resolutions up to UXGA at 60Hz and for all HD resolutions. The unit also supports HDCP (High Definition Digital Content Protection). Each output offers an output disconnect feature to turn the output off, and the unit has 12 pre-set memory locations to store multiple switches that can be recalled as needed.
The VS-66HDMI offers a variety of control options, making it flexible for many different applications. It can be controlled using the front-panel buttons, the IR remote control transmitter, or via Ethernet connection. It also offers RS-232 capability for control via a touch screen system, PC or other serial controller. The front panel lockout feature prevents unwanted tampering with the buttons on the front panel.
The VS-66HDMI matrix switcher for HDMI signals is available from Kramer Electronics worldwide reseller networks and sells at a list price of $2,595. Complete product information can be found at www.kramermatrix.com .
