SENNHEISER AND KLEIN + HUMMEL: A PERFECT MATCH

OLD LYME, CONNECTICUT – JUNE 2008: It is now possible for sound to travel solely through comprehensive systems provided entirely by legendary audio pioneer Sennheiser and renowned sound reinforcement specialist Klein + Hummel. And for discerning engineers everywhere, that’s a non-negotiable need, especially for projects as varied as digital signage to performance venues.

For over sixty years, Sennheiser has excelled at bringing innovative technologies to the professional audio market. In 2005, Sennheiser brought its sonic soul-mate, Klein + Hummel, under the Sennheiser Group umbrella and commenced covering the entire audio chain for studio and installed sound applications, from the transmission of high-quality sound through Sennheiser microphones and wireless systems to its amplification via premium Klein + Hummel loudspeakers and monitors. Now, Sennheiser is poised to strengthen its place in the global installed sound industry even further, thanks in part to the incredible business advantage, incredibly high product standards and the new Klein + Hummel IS-oriented product line.

“The clear vision of Sennheiser is to serve the professional audio market with comprehensive systems. Therefore, Klein + Hummel was a perfect fit both for the studio and installed sound markets,” said Volker Bartels, speaker of the Sennheiser executive team.

“Now, being an integral brand of the Sennheiser Group, we can leverage synergies in technologies, design systems cross-brands and offer a comprehensive portfolio in all the countries that Sennheiser serves,” stated Achim Gleissner, president of Klein + Hummel. “Comprehensive systems that are globally and consistently distributed via the Sennheiser network are providing customers the opportunity to be served by this network even if projects are specified for installations away from their home country.”

In the past, Sennheiser was Klein + Hummel’s key distribution partner throughout Europe. Sennheiser GmbH & Co. KG, located in Wedemark, Germany took over the Marketing and Development divisions of Klein + Hummel GmbH on March 1, 2005. The newly-founded company is now known as K+H Vertriebs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH.

The Sennheiser Group also comprises Technical Grammy(r)-award winning Georg Neumann GmbH, purveyor of high-quality studio microphones. Together, Sennheiser, Neumann and Klein + Hummel represent the upper echelon of audio solutions for the studio industry.
