CINETENSION2 ACOUSTIC PROJECTION SCREEN WINS EH MAGAZINE’S PRODUCT OF THE YEAR AWARD
CERRITOS, Calif., July 22, 2008 — Elite Screens, Inc. an innovative company that specializes in affordable high quality projector screens, is pleased to announce that its CineTension2 Electric screen with acoustically transparent material won the coveted Electronic House Product Of The Year Award. CineTension2 screens are tension-cord reinforced retractable screens that are available in either solid or acoustically transparent material for a variety of installation options.
Users can place their home theater speakers behind a CineTension2 screen for a more simplified home theater appearance. Because the material is perforated, sound comes directly to viewers through the screen clearly and without distortion. The durable all-metal casing is designed for either wall or ceiling installations.
“We’ve been proud of the positive feedback that the Cinetension2 Acoustic Screen has received from end-users, installers and now; the committee of judges at Electronic House Magazine, said David Rodgers, marketing manager, Elite Screens, Inc. “ Acoustically transparent material has seen an increase in demand and I am glad to see that our product is doing so well in this market.
CineTension2 screens are available in a wide variety of sizes, aspect ratios and gain materials so that users can determine the best screen for their projector and installation. In addition to acoustically transparent material, they are also available in CineWhite with a 1.1 gain for multi-purpose applications; CineGray with a 1.0 gain black-level contrast enhancement; and PowerGain 1.8 gain material for enhanced color reproduction with high resolution projectors in a home theater environment.
CineTension2 screens offer a built-in 12-volt trigger that synchronizes screen drop and rise with a projector’s power cycle, and its tubular motor provides superior timing and lift capacity for smooth and seamless operation. To truly customize a screen’s placement, CineTension2 screens offer an adjustable vertical limit switch that regulates screen drop and rise settings to match the height of various presentation rooms while its sliding brackets provide versatility in wall or ceiling installations.
Elite’s CineTension2 screen kit includes a bracket wrench, wall screws and bubble level for easy installation. Each model has internal infrared (IR) and radio frequency (RF) receivers accompanied by IR & RF remotes. Lastly, an external wall box kit is included for the option of having direct operation, or an extended IR “eye receiver can be used for operating in a recessed ceiling.
Elite Screen’s CineTension2 screens range in price from $789 to $1589, depending on size and optional features. They are currently available through retail, internet and systems integrators. Unlike other projection similar screens, CineTension2 screens come with a two-year limited replacement warranty.
